Minor Injury Treatment
Simple wound closure
A simple dressing change is a routine procedure to keep a wound clean and protected while it heals. The old dressing is gently removed, the wound is inspected, and the area is cleaned if needed to reduce the risk of infection. A fresh sterile dressing is then applied to cover and protect the wound, keeping it in the best environment to heal comfortably and safely.

Simple dressing change
Simple wound closure is a straightforward treatment used for small cuts or minor injuries. The area is first carefully cleaned to remove any dirt or bacteria and reduce the risk of infection. Once the wound is prepared, the skin edges are gently brought together and secured using medical glue or Steri-Strips if required. This helps the wound heal neatly, supports natural recovery, and often results in less scarring and a more comfortable healing process.

Complex Wound Closure
Complex wound closure is usually required for deeper or larger wounds that cannot be closed with simple methods. In these cases, stitches (sutures) are often needed to bring the wound edges together securely and to repair tissue beneath the skin if necessary. The area is thoroughly cleaned, and sometimes multiple layers of sutures are placed to ensure proper healing and reduce the risk of complications. This approach provides stronger support, helps minimise scarring, and is important for wounds under tension or those at higher risk of reopening.

Suture Removal (<10 sutures)
Suture removal is a quick and simple procedure carried out once a wound has healed enough for stitches to no longer be needed. The area is first cleaned, and then the sutures are carefully cut and gently removed using sterile instruments. This is usually painless, though you may feel a slight pulling sensation. A fresh dressing may be applied afterward to keep the area protected as the final stages of healing take place.

Paronychia (Fingernail Infection)
Paronychia is an infection of the skin around the nail, often caused by bacteria getting in through small cuts or nail damage. Treatment depends on how severe it is – mild cases can usually be managed with regular warm water soaks and antiseptic or antibiotic cream, while more painful infections with pus may need a small procedure to drain the area. In some cases, antibiotics or partial nail removal may be required. Keeping the finger clean, dry, and avoiding nail biting or picking helps prevent it from coming back.
£120 (In-Clinic)
Ear or Nose Foreign Body Removal
Ear or nasal foreign body removal is a simple procedure to safely take out objects that may have become stuck in the ear canal or nose, which is a common issue in children but can affect adults too. Depending on the type and location of the object, removal may be done using special instruments or irrigation. The area is carefully examined both before and after to ensure nothing remains and to check for any irritation or injury. This quick treatment helps relieve discomfort, prevent infection, and avoid complications.
£50 (In-Clinic)
Nailbed Injury / Haematoma Treatment
A subungual haematoma is a collection of blood that builds up under a fingernail or toenail, usually after trauma, causing pain and pressure. Trephining is a simple procedure used to relieve this pressure. The nail is carefully cleaned, and a small hole is made in the nail to allow the trapped blood to drain. This usually provides almost immediate pain relief and helps prevent damage to the nail. Afterward, the area is dressed and kept clean to reduce the risk of infection while the nail heals.

FAQs
Your questions answered
An online consultation includes a full discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and any relevant lifestyle factors. Your practitioner may guide you through simple checks you can do at home and review information such as photos, symptoms and observations. You’ll receive a clinical assessment, tailored advice, and, if appropriate, prescriptions or referrals. A written summary and follow-up plan will also be provided
Inuvi typically delivers accurate test results within 24 hours of sample receipt at the laboratory. That means from the moment the lab receives your blood sample, results are usually completed and reported within a day
Appointments will take anywhere between a 10 minute video consultation to discuss your capillary test kit to a 20 minute appointment in order to take your in-clinic blood test or a full 30 minute consultation face-to-face with your selected practitioner for a full assessment and diagnosis
You will have the choice to simply just receive your results whether this may be a stool sample, blood test or microbiology swab. Follow up appointments will be provided for blood test results explained in depth if desired. This would be our most recommended pathway in order to analyse your results and provide any subsequent treatment or advice neccessary
